Here at RDAC we are experts in delivering specialist driving tuition to people who require additional support. Our instructors have a wealth of knowledge in adaptations and medical conditions and work closely with our Occupational Therapist and Driving Advisors, to ensure you get the most from your lessons.
You will require an assessment prior to having any tuition so we can determine the best options for you and provide you with the most suitable solutions for your needs.
We currently offer lessons from our centres in Manchester, Accrington, Northampton and Solihull and are working on recruiting more instructors to enable us to offer tuition from more locations.
Our Approved Driving Advisors are experienced in working with a variety of needs including:
- Physical Disability
- Special Educational Needs
- Deaf Aware
- High Tech Adaptations
- Older Driver Improvement
- Remedial Tuition
We also have access to a fleet of adapted vehicles which include:
- Steering ball
- Push pull hand controls
- Electric hand controls
- Centre ring accelerator
- Left Foot Accelerator
- Secondary controls (e.g.: Lodgeson, Elap, SmartSteer)
- Extension pedals
- Hand brake easy release
The cost of lessons are £40 per hour or £350 for a block of 10.
