At the RDAC we are able to offer assessments in these types of vehicles:- We will always begin with a basic car assessment first as all licence holders will have licenses to cover both these groups, subject to DVLA licence restrictions.
- Assuming that this is successful we will then arrange for an assessment in the appropriate class of vehicle. A suitably qualified LGV instructor will be involved in this assessment.
- A report will be prepared to cover both assessments.
- The cost of these assessments will vary depending on the type of vehicle required which will be provided.
- These assessments may not be available at every location.
The Charity
The Regional Driving Assessment Centre (RDAC) was set up in 1989 as part of the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre as part of the NHS.

RDAC is a charitable organisation dedicated to helping people who are, or would like to be, drivers or travel as passengers in their own vehicle to help maintain an independent lifestyle.
