Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Assessment (WAV) for passengers

This assessment is designed specifically for those people who require to travel in their wheelchair in a vehicle.

This assessment is conducted by an occupational therapist that specialises in this area of work.

There may be times where manufacturers of specific equipment will be involved to assist with the assessment when we do not have specialised equipment available.

The assessment begins with a discussion of your needs and the options that are available. Wherever possible we will trial equipment as to its suitability. At the end of the assessment a report is produced for you if you referred yourself for assessment.

Application Form

‘The cost of a self assessment is subsidised by the Centre and is currently set at £20. Should the assessment involve any other party you should contact the centre for further information’
