Driving Advisor (ADI)
Hours: 3 days per week (additional hours available)

Due to service expansion, RDAC has an exciting opportunity for a Driving Advisor. This is a part-time role which will initially be for 3 days per week (Monday and Friday) with scope for increased hours in the future. The successful candidate will provide assessments from RDAC locations predominantly around Greater Manchester and East Lancashire. On occasions, this role may also be required to provide holiday cover for RDAC staff in other locations (travel and accommodation expenses will be covered).
As an accredited member of Driving Mobility, RDAC is a successful, forward-thinking and established organisation with a number of Assessment Centres throughout the UK. You will deliver Driving Assessments to clients with a diverse range of medical conditions. Working as part of an assessment team, together with an Occupational Therapist, you will follow an assessment structure in order to form a recommendation to inform the client, DVLA and Health Professionals. You must be able to work on your own initiative in a busy environment. The ability to multi-task and demonstrate exceptional organisational skills are essential. You will liaise regularly with the RDAC administration team to ensure referrals are processed accurately, assessments are delivered effectively, and quality reports are generated. The successful candidate will have good educational standards and must be able to use Microsoft software packages. You will need to have a good telephone manner and customer relationship skills as dealing with clients both face-to-face and over the telephone is an integral part of this role.
The successful candidate must be a qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructor.
Previous experience of working with clients with medical conditions and vehicle adaptations is desired but not essential as a full induction package and training will be offered. You will also be expected to complete an accredited academic qualification within 5 years of employment.
