Transport Safety Awareness Day at MOD Bicester
Clare Jones, Occupational Therapist represented RDAC at a recent transport safety awareness day organised by logistic services within the Ministry of Defence in Bicester. It was an interesting day being surrounded by all sorts of organisations with an interest in transport safety, including; Occupational Health, GMB union, Police, Fire fighters, speed monitoring, equipment providers, fork lift trucks, first parade checks, logistic services. Some of the visitors to the stand wanted information to assist relatives with driving, others to chat about more general issues regarding road safety. Many were not aware of our services and of the wider umbrella organisation which standardises what we do, ‘Driving Mobility’ (formerly Forum of Mobility Centres). It was a well organised day and we hope to be involved again in the future.
