Driving Test

I was very impressed by the kind, patient and efficient service provided by the Administration Officer and the Driving Assessor. It was invaluable to have an opportunity to drive an automatic car in a relatively safe environment with professional driver support and a full informed discussion of adaptations and options available.

Welcome to the Regional Driving Assessment Centre

The Regional Driving Assessment Centre is a charitable organisation dedicated to helping people who are, or would like to be, drivers or travel as passengers in their own vehicle to help maintain an independent lifestyle.

We are an accredited member of the Forum of Mobility Centres; one of 17 centres across the country offering the highest professional standards of assessment. The service provided is available to any disabled or elderly person who has difficulties, either as a driver or passenger. The Centres also offer an information service and advice on benefits relating to the Disability Living Allowance, to anyone concerned with the mobility of disabled or elderly people.

Although our centre is in Saltley Birmingham, we also have a satellite centre at Eynsham in Oxford and an outreach service based at Cannock Chase Hospital, Staffordshire.

In the last year we have been able to help more than 800 people and the numbers are increasing every year.

If you think we might be able to help you, please give us a call.

Please remember that we are not an agency of the DVLA and although we conduct assessments for them, we do not carry out driving tests.
